    Desmond the Duck needs no introduction! He's one of the original fun and quirky family of Green & Wilds dog toys and very popular amongst gundog owners. Honestly! We have no idea why he's a duck with 3 legs! He's made from natural, renewable, and recyclable materials. Desmond is great interactive toy, ideal for throwing, tugging and retrieving games with your pup.

    Safe & Sustainable Materials

    Desmond is made from four layers of jute, twin stitched over recycled cotton and jute rope. The suede used to make his head and beak is a by-product, which ensures this material is not wasted. Plus, he has been manufactured without using any harmful compounds that could be released when chewed.

    Size & Suitability

    Desmond is a generous 40cm long from his beak to his feet, with a wing span of about 34cm. While robust, no toy is indestructible, so always supervise playtime and remove the toy if damaged.

    Care Instructions

    Not machine washable but made to last with proper care.

    It hasn’t been given to Clemency ( our young Dalmatian) yet as it’s for Christmas but it looks very strong and well made. We are hoping it’s also Clemency proof, which admittedly is a very tall order. She will love it though. Gillian

    I wish I'd had this toy when my dog was young. He used to eviscerate soft toys within a day or two and he loved playing tug of war - Dessie the Duck would have been perfect for him.
    My dog, Milo, is 12 in a couple of months and is not the mad hooligan he once was - now he likes to bring a soft toy to you and turn his head away when you try to grab it. We've had several gentle tug of wars with Dessie and Milo has made a couple of attempts to chew his head off but the duck remains intact.
    That there is no stuffing nor plastic squeakers that Milo can pull out is a comforting safety factor and Milo seems to be warming to the toy.
    Dessie seems robust (though I think a wing may get chewed off one day), safe and probably ideal for a mad young Lab.
