The top of Box Hill feels like the top of the world

Everyone must have heard of Box Hill! Popular for school field trips, nature lovers, National Trust members and more recently cycling enthusiasts, as it was the venue for the more arduous stretch of the cycling road race in the 2012 London Olympics.

But for us it's one of our favourite places to bring the dogs for a good hearty walk, to pump some blood round your veins and give your lungs a good workout. Once you've climbed to the very top, you will feel like you're on top of the world!

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside...

Mussles and clams foraged from West Wittering beach

Taking the dogs to the beach doesn't necessarily have to be just a Summer activity. We enjoy visiting our favourite beach at West Wittering with Reina and Taffy all year round, come rain or shine, and have a fantastic time there. At low tide the water recedes to leave a vast expanse of level sandy beach where the dogs can play endlessly and we go foraging for mussels and clams. At high tide just the pebbles remain exposed and we use this as our opportunity to sample the local fish 'n' chips while we watch the waves rolling in. I hope you enjoy reading this review of this fabulous dog-friendly beach at The Witterings, as much as I enjoyed writing it and choosing my favorite photos.

Living with an auto-immune disease

The Little Pet Biscuit Company had a very successful time at The National Pet Show at Birmingham NEC and we like to think we gave the big brands something to think about. We were proud to be able to showcase our lovingly handmade, natural and healthy dog biscuits and received so much support and encouragement from everyone who visited us at our stand. We think this demonstrates the tide is beginning to turn as owners are now looking for more healthy and less mass produced alternatives for their pets.
